I'm totally demoralized and intimidated now, though. I've been a "cultivating domesticity" for over 15 years, but next to you, I've accomplished nothing! I've never made jam, let alone knit a hat!
But, if you ever want any helpful hints about finding the sweet spot on the couch and the best time of day for a nap, let me know - I'm an expert.
Cultivating Domesticity is a play on the 19th century ideology coined "The Cult of Domesticity." This is my reclamation of the domestic arts, an effort in repositioning the “domestic” as central to our acts of self determination and revolution.
